CITES Eligible – Pre-Convention – $200 fee to process 2008 Gernot Wagner Cedar DT Madagascar #289 Comments: Gernot Wagner has clearly been a master builder for a very long time. This guitar is a resonant beast of pure voice. Condition is at least very good to almost excellent. There are a few faint nail marks in and around the top, a few string rash marks (no dings) behind the bridge treble E string. The action is moderately low at 3.5mm at the low E 12th fret and 3.1mm at the treble E 12th fret. I find the guitar very easy to play, very musical and quite powerful in her voice. The guitar was owned by a very good friend of Gernot, personally built for and selected by him, a phenomenal player of extraordinary ability. He has taken very good care of the guitar, given his highly decorated professional career. This is an amazing guitar of great character, capable of playing the softest tones to fortissimo, projection and volume like few, play that is highly enviable. An amazing guitar.
