The black Cabasa from Tycoon Percussion is constructed of a ridged stainless steel shell and is surrounded by loops of steel-bead chains. Wooden flanges enclose the steel cylinder with a wooden handle attached at the bottom. The medium cabasa produces a softer, rhythmic shaking and rattling sounds.
